The food was really good and the chef was so accomodating to my sister's dietairy needs and even a last minute guest who expected a special meal (so sorry!). Everyone was very helpful from day one of booking and planning. The owners are a husband and wife and were present on the day and awesome! We couldn't say enough great things. The all inclusiveness made it very low stress. We utilized a couple extra services like the alter and photo booth. Definitely request the wave to be put out!

The planning was so stress free and so was the day of. Charlene and team were truly wonderful, we felt relaxed and we were able to just enjoy the whole day and not worry about a thing.   My friend recently had a wedding at the Monterey Beach House, so this is my experience as the Maid of Honor.

Logistics:
- There are two parking lots within walking distance of... read more the building. From the parking lot, you can access the building via a dirt path used by walkers and cyclists
- The outside of the building is a little misleading as the inside is very pretty
- There are options if you want a photo booth from a surfboard theme they have to bringing in your own
- The venue can host quite a large party with numerous tables (I think we had about 12 tables at this wedding with 10 people per table). I saw two setups during my visit, so I know they are flexible with sizing, tables, decoration, etc.
- We had two bars at the table, which allowed for a lot of flexibility and space for guests to not have to crowd around one bar and wait in a long line. The bride and groom were also able to make customized wedding cocktails!
- There is a very old projector you can use if you have a video or slideshow to show

Wedding:
- The coordinator at the venue was very thorough and efficient when it came to organizing the wedding party through the walk down the beach to coming back in

Overall, great venue right on the beach with a lot of flexibility to customize it how you want.

From the beginning, the team at Monterey Beach Station was professional and... read more helpful - they answered all our questions and quickly prepared a quote that was competitive and within our budget. Once we signed the contract, we were handed over to our Event Coordinator - Makenna - who was our dedicated contact through the planning and day-of.

Their company includes both the venue AND the caterer - sounds like their company started as a catering company, and the food was phenomenal! To taste their food and select our event menu, we attended a group tasting with about a hundred other people who were hosting events with their company...was a super smart approach, because we got to see them prepare and serve food for a large group in buffet-style service, as it would be at our wedding.

While all of the necessary items for a successful event are already included in the contract, beware of added costs for little "extras", such as the outdoor string lights...these string lights would create a beautiful aesthetic, but we did not use them and still had plenty of light outside once the sun set, because the building has outdoor lighting.

Overall we had an amazing event and would recommend this venue and team!

I love my extended family, yet it is difficult to coordinate the... read more schedule of multiple generations......the solution of gathering in gorgeous sweet Monterey in a historic building ( one of the last standing from the Steinbeck era of industry) is now and forever our solution.

Everyone attending from our newbie twins from L. A. to my elegant Aunties in their 90's melted into the warm and generous style provided by the owners and their obviously well treated and trained staff.

I used the word magical as that's how the day flowed, initially we were a loud mass of mingling hellos and hugs, some found comfort around the cushy sofa and chairs others the bar with full ocean views and manned by the owner David, both knowledgable and professional ( a must in my family of ranchers, chefs, restaurant owners and golf pro types) the youngsters were already running the deck while others circled chairs to chat. Food is a big deal in my clan with plenty of willing critics,
but not this day for it was served on time, well heated and as delicious as it was plentiful
The organizational flow of our entire event was seem less, well thought out and again just very professional .

After some family speeches, remberances and funny tales of family lore from the clan hierarchy , everyone responded to the call of the waves and as I melted s'mores with my teenage niece introducing her to cousins almost new to her we all shared that lovely since of belonging that make a good family. We then joined the group of women and teen girls on blankets in the sand circling the baby twins as their hands discovered sand and generations old and new laughed. I looked upon the Beach House, the cowboy cousins leaned on the deck railing visiting with those sitting on the deck, everyone so congenial, relaxed and glad they made the journey.

Thank you Monterey Beach House for that wonderful day..

  This is an incredible place for corporate parties. They are located right on the beach and they know how to make parties special. They oftentimes set up for parties... read more right on the beach where you can toast t marshmallows. Or they have bbq parties where they cook the meat tight on the beach. A great place for great events.
